Until you dropped by, I had never heard of this concept: a single word. Love the idea.

Since I posted about being resolved to know nothing by Christ and Him crucified, I think my word will be … Word.

As in, the Word, Jesus, who was, is and will be.

You’re the third person I’ve read with a “word for 2009″. I was really hoping I could get out of all that introspection. But now I suspect God wants me to figure out my word. I’ll have to get back to you on that.

Loved your post and link to the the Clean Eating magazine. I will have to try some of the recipes there. My word for the year…not sure yet. But your post has inspired me to think about it and then post about it.

I think my word for 2009 is Success. I really feel that this is going to be a good year. I’m super motivated about Avon and my Etsy site. Plus I have lots more stuff planned out for this year. I started a little book where I write down the stuff that I want to accomplish this year. Some are little things, some are big. And if I don’t get everything done, I’ve learned not to beat myself up about it. We’ll see what happens.

Jenn, I love this post. I don’t have a word for 2009, but I do have a scripture. Heb 3:19, “So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.” God is prompting me to believe Him for all those dark areas in my life where doubt creeps in. I hope 2009 is a year that we both see the fulfillment of our “words.”

For the first time my husband and I each chose a year word-focus too. I am writing about it on my blog on Monday…but I can tell you early! LOL. I chose the word “holy” - just felt the Lord prodding me too. I’m hoping to focus on the word “holy” repeated throughout Scripture this year. I really wanted to pick “word” as my word simply because it seemed like the cool thing to do…but alas God had other plans! ; )

I love your word choice. I am writing it down to consider for next year. Inspired. What a great choice.
