I like FringeGirl's idea of the cold water in the face. My oldest is NOT a morning person. I have to get up early so that I can wake her up early so that she can actually get going on time. Not to mention that she is so SLOW! It drives me crazy, but that's just the way she is. Even alarm clocks don't work for her. I have to coerce her out of bed.

I wish I had some advice for you. The only thing I can offer is deep empathy.

Sorry you had a rough morning. Does she have an alarm clock? This sounds terrible, but if she's late, I'd just leave her behind. Let your older one leave when she always does...this eliminates morning stress for her anyway. Your sleepy bear may or may not get the point. Well, I was trying to make this a worthy comment, but as I reread it, it seems I'm really no help.

Good luck! I'm sure others will have better advice. A glass of cold water in the face may work.
